Biography



Muhammad Imtiaz Mr. Imtiaz is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Office of International Cooperation (OIC) in King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He has been a Research Assistant at KFUPM since 2008 and completed his M. Sc. degree in Computer Science in the year 2011. He finished his B. Sc. in Computer Science from Assumption University of Thailand in 2006 with the “Cum Laude” honor for having a high scholastic average GPA.

Mr. Imtiaz started his early carrier as a software developer in 2006 and worked in Thailand. He also engaged in web development as a freelancer during the time of his B. Sc. and M. Sc. program. He has completed his MS Thesis in the area of soft computing and developed a novel Ensemble of Hybrid Computational Intelligence Models to predict petroleum reservoir gas composition. He has gained hands on experience in various Computational Intelligence (CI) techniques e.g. Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Support Vector Machines and Regression (SVM/SVR), Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS), Fuzzy Logic (FL), Type-II Fuzzy Logic (T2FL), GMDH based Abductive Network to solve various regression/classification problems.

His research interests include Evolutionary Optimized Hybrid and Ensemble of Computational Intelligence Models to solve various real life problems e.g. Petroleum Engineering, Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering, Software Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.

Besides his current job, he is presently working on optimization theories e.g. Genetic Algorithm, Swarm Intelligence etc. and their Hybridization with CI techniques so as to achieve better classification/predictive tools.
