I received my B.Sc.
degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and
Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan in 2000 and my M.Sc. degree from the
University of Stuttgart, Germany in 2005. I am an Assistant Professor in
the Department of Electrical Engineering, UET Lahore, Pakistan.
Currently, on study leave from my parent university and pursuing PhD
from KFUPM.
Before joining academia, I was with Alcatel Germany where I was involved
in the evaluation of MIMO schemes for 3.5 G (HSDPA) during 2004-2005. I
worked as a Senior Design Engineer in DSP Software Optimization Group at
Avaz Networks, formerly Communications Enabling Technologies, a leading
R&D company based in Islamabad, Pakistan from 2000 to 2003. Currently I
am working for my Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Asrar U.
H. Sheikh at KFUPM, Dhahran Saudi Arabia. My current research interests
include next generation wireless systems, cognitive radio networks and
signal processing for optimum detection and estimation. |
