KFNA e-Book Review | |||
King Fahd Naval Academy (KFNA) launched a project for the development & implementation of online instructional content at the academy. As part of KFUPM team we were responsible with the supervision and monitoring for the development of e-books for the quality assurance of e-books at the design and development stages and monitoring quality and progress of the work. First of all a plan was devised for the measurement of the project progress and quality. Frequent reviews of the development of the course were done to evaluate the quality of the project from a variety of perspectives. A framework of standards was developed for providing a common base for establishing quality reference among all stakeholders involved in the courseware development and evaluation. Online course standards were divided into four categories and each category was then broken down into standards and sub standards. |

Saudi ARAMCO Summer Employment Program for KFUPM Saudi Faculty | |||
KFUPM is always in pursuit for exploring new avenues for its faculty to enhance their experience and broaden their scope and expertise. So to give the faculty a taste of real life projects the deanship of academic development started a collaboration with Saudi ARAMCO, a summer employment program for the KFUPM faculty. This program has been found extremely useful and beneficial for not only KFUPM but also for Saudi ARAMCO. Therefore, in 2014, in order to further expand and streamline the program, Deanship of Academic Development started a review process with their counterpart in Saudi ARAMCO. I was also one of the member of the review committee and after number of discussions and analysis, new and enhanced process was agreed upon. The process will not only reduce the time for the acceptance of an application but also will increase the number of opportunities. |
