TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Being one of the top student during my undergraduate and graduate studies i was often selected for grading or teaching a lab course. Few times i was also asked by the instructor to take the regular lecture on some specific topic. Below is the list of the assigned labs i conducted as an instructor.

Fortran LAB - ICS 101

For three semesters during my masters degree in information and computer science, i was assigned to instruct the Fortran 77 LAB to undergraduate students. Fortran 77 course is compulsory course for all the engineering students. The emphasis is on modular and structured problem solving approach that includes program coding, algorithm design, debugging and testing. Various programming problems are explained and then given to students.

Learning Outcomes of the course were:

  • Understand and find the output of simple Fortran programs that incorporate different types of variables, expressions (arithmetic and logical), input and output statements and selection constructs.
  • Design and implement simple programs using basic syntax of Fortran language such as expressions, assignment statements, input and output statements, and selection constructs
  • Practice modular programming by developing Fortran programs made of functions, subroutines, repetitions and arrays.

Computer Networks LAB - CS 307

In the last semester of my under graduate studies i was assigned as Teaching Assistant of Computer Networks Instructor. My responsibilities included conducting labs, conducting problem-solving session and grading the assignments of the students.

The course presented the details of communication networks. Layered architecture of network protocols and performance analysis was also covered.

Digital Logic Design LAB - CS 227

In the seventh semester of my under graduate studies i was assigned as LAB Instructor of the Digitial Logic Design Course. I was responsible for conducting two labs per week.
