General rules: |

1. All the league matches will be a single set game of 18
continuous points, where as semi finals (18 continuous
points) and finals (25 continuous points) will be best of
three game sets. 2. A minimum of 5 (Five) Players are required to start the game 3. Win is allotted 4 points, loose 2 points. 4. It is the duty of the captain to keep the team ready well before the start of match. 5. A maximum of 10 min. delay is allowed after the scheduled time to start the game, after that a win will be allotted to the team present. If both teams are not present 2 points will be allotted to each. 6. It is recommended for the players to wear shoe and track this is for player's safety. 7. Referee's decision is final. Any player opposing or arguing with referee will be subjected to face a timely ban after FIRST warning has been called against him. (In case of crucial issues or any controversy, decision will be made as per the concerns of the members of technical committee only.) 8. Under any circumstances the game is not to be stopped, unless told by referee. The team doing so will be loosing that point. 9. Incase of tie between two teams for entering semis, team with greater game points (Rule # 1) will move forward. If a further tie exists in game points, winner in league match between these two teams will move forward. 10. Interchanging of players between teams is NOT ALLOWED. |

1. After every change of service players are subjected to
rotation, fixing of player's position is prohibited. 2. Server must serve from behind the restraining line (end line) until after contact. 3. Ball may be served underhand or overhand. 4. Ball must be clearly visible to opponents before serve. 5. A player must not block or attack a serve. 6. For service ball touches the net and drops in the opposition court, there is no re-serve, the game is on. 7. If the player touches the net during any part of the game, it is a foul. 8. The appealing for Net touch should be done carefully, as a team can have only 3 appeals for Net touch per match. The appeal exceeding 3 will be watched carefully by the referee and corresponding action will be taken. 9. If the foot of the player is more than 50% on the other side of the center line, it is a foul. 10. There is no appeal for carry, as it will be directly given by the referees. 11. The carry is defined as follows: (a) the ball and hand should not travel in same direction while lifting with fingers and palm, (b) That is, the contact between ball and palm/ fingers should not be more than 1 to 2 seconds. (c) If the ball touches the palm and bounces back the next moment, it is not considered as carry. 12. Smashing should be done by the players on the front side, how ever if the players behind the line wish to smash he should take the jump well behind the line and can land on the other side of line. Other wise he should just place the ball. 13. If the ball is touched by the player either by the hands or by any part of the body (leg/shoulder/head,etc.,) it will be considered as ONE touch and NOT FOUL. However if the referee feels that this TOUCH was similar to CARRY or DOUBLE TOUCH or ROLL OVER then it will be a FOUL. 14. Wrong calls from the opponents team is strictly prohibited, after one warning player is subjected to face a ban in the game. Team can appeal for wrong call to referee. Referees decision will be final. 15. Players are not allowed to comment on OPPONENT TEAM and all the Captains are requested to make sure their team is well disciplined during the GAME. However, the team members have every right to rejoice over the point scored or to encourage THEIR OWN TEAM. |
